Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi!

I have been wanting to get this book for a long time (well, only since August but that feels like a really long time when you want something) but I wasn't able to get it since I had to spend my money on things like tuition and school books (how boring!). I finally got it today (with Amazon gift cards I collected using Swagbucks - if anyone is interested in joining the site, I have actually accumulated enough points to buy real things!) and I am in love! 

I am a huge geek and I love all kinds of different things, and the miny creations in this book are just so cute that I want to knit up everyone of them... So I will try to do just that - A Mochimochi Challenge! I want to try and get them all done so I can have tiny creatures following me everywhere. I will keep you guys updated with my progress!

I think I might be crazy!

I saw this afghan in the new KnitSimple Holiday Issue, and I absolutely love it! So of course I looked through my stash and immediatly started to crochet. Only to realize that it is made out of 265 squares! 265!!!  That is a lot of little squares to sew together. I am still going to make it though because it looks just fabulous! Mine will have beige centers and different shades of purple for the outer edges, it is going to be super cute!
