White Cowl

I love wearing cowls in the winter, they keep me nice and warm. There are so many great patterns out there, and this is one of my favorites.

 

I used some fingering weight yarn held double for this project. I don't know what kind of yarn it is, it was just in a plastic bag that was given to me. It does have some shine to it and the stitch definition is great.

 

 

 

The pattern I used was originally free, but now will cost money to get. Featherbelle is a well-written pattern that was interesting to knit and made a really nice cowl.

New Stuff

I have had sock knitting on my mind this past week. My knitting habits seem to come and go in waves, and sock knitting seems to be a recurring one every few months.

After visiting my LYS for one ball of sock yarn, I of course came out with four (there was a sale and I have no willpower when it comes to pretty sock yarn):

Here is my To-Do List so Far

A week into my recovery, and I am missing knitting terribly. I may even have slipped in a few rows, and then I got into a lot of trouble when my boyfriend caught me. So I am adding patterns to my to-do list and it seems to be getting longer and longer everyday.

Sock Yarn Patchwork blanket

I was so excited to finish school so that I would finally be able to find some time to knit... So as soon as I could, I started this really nice patchwork blanket with my remaining sock yarn from my stash, and I got a lot done in a short amount of time:

 

It is a free pattern that is available here, and there is a thread here on Ravelry discussing this project and possible trades people want to make. I have already posted my yarn on there if you are interested in doing a swap!

 

So I was all excited about this project and racing along to finish...

 



And then this happened....

 

 

I somehow managed to fracture my thumb... and I have no idea how I did it. I have to wear the brace for at least two weeks... and I already miss knitting! What am I going to do? I am just going to have to favorite a whole bunch of patterns for when my thumb gets better, until then I won't be getting any knitting done :(
